Christians have been called, or called themselves, many things since Jesus was raised. Those ‘of the way’, followers, disciples, believers, the body, Jesus church and of course Christians. But one of the most common ways that the new testament calls those saved by Jesus is actually none of these. They are called in Christ.
Now none of those earlier descriptions are wrong and we should keep using them. But in Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he describes what it means to be in Christ. Over the next 3 weeks, we’re going to see what it means to:
- be secure in Christ,
- be made new in Christ and
- be partners in Christ
And if you’re wondering what aeroplanes have to do with all this, make sure you come along to find out.
