Praying for a Permanent Place

In our 4 year history, Reforming Church has moved buildings 8 times, across 5 locations. We have had a tonne of fun along the way, yet it’s getting harder to find suitable buildings to rent in south-east Bendigo.

As God gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:5-9) we find that something we as a congregation need to keep praying for is a permanent place. Somewhere our church can call “home”, at least a temporary home until Christ returns and calls us to our heavenly home – where the real estate is real and forever.

Until then, for the sake of south-east Bendigo, for the cause of the gospel, we are paying for God to provide. Here is how we can keep this in our constant and particular prayers:

  • Please pray for the Board of Management as this team surveys options of land and building a chapel, or purchasing an existing building. The Board only have 4 monthly meetings to go before our denominational Assembly in October, before we present our crazy case for a permanent place.
  • To that end, please pray for generosity from the hearts of our church members, as well as our denomination, as we seek to fund the purchase of property for church-plants all over the great state of Victoria.
  • Thank God that we still exist as a church-plant after 4 years, and that He has given the growth. Pray that God will continue to grow us more like His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, by His Spirit breathed word.

For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
