On Sunday we saw our first home-grown eldership ordained and inducted into leadership of Reforming Church.
This is a milestone for us as a church-plant, and as we heard explained from God’s word in 1 Peter 5: healthy churches need healthy doctrine, with healthy elders teaching the gospel for the sake of our congregation – all for the future until Christ returns.
Now that we have a Reforming eldership which leads with mutuality in plurality (not a one-man show), as they lead with Christlikeness, with vision – we look forward to seeing how God will use our Elders to plan and prayer with gospel strategy for 2017 and beyond.
From now until the end of the year we are savouring what we see in the Gospel according to John, as we enter the “Christmas Season”. With that also comes an exciting event, our second year of hosting our Community Christmas Carols. Come along on the evening of December 11th, 5pm, at BSE College.
We’ll enjoy singing the songs of the season on the college’s synthetic oval. Please bring your own rug, chairs and picnic dinner – there’s be free kids face painting and a whole bunch of surprises to enjoy as we glorify God in he highest and enjoy Him forever in Jesus name.
