How did you become a Christian?
“Been a skeptic for more than 10 years while I was exploring the esoteric sciences, Eastern religions, western philosophies, the “New Age” beliefs and different church denominations. I finally committed to studying the scripture two years back, when I stopped seeing any progress (for several years) in my pursuit of “spiritual highs”. I struggled to find my assurance of salvation for over a year, but by the grace of God, my pastor in Melbourne, Costa Englezos, invested long one-on-one and short regular sessions that helped shape my perspective of the faith in everyday-life-practice.”
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
“Power of Your Love by Hillsong (Although I do not condone their church culture)”
What’s your favourite book?
“The Word – by God”
What do you do for fun?
“Horse riding, motorbike riding, and going to work!”
How has Jesus changed your life, or is changing your life?
“Perhaps due to some degree of high functioning autism, I have a tendency for asceticism and a solitude lifestyle. However, understanding the parable that ‘a lamp is useless if covered’ has provided the motivation to carry out His mission through building relationships with others.”
What’s your favourite Bible verse?
“And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. – Luke 6:33”
What can we of Reforming be praying for you?
“Pray for my mom’s salvation – she has been more receptive to the gospel lately. Pray for my brother to truly know God – he has been angry and bitter with God for 7 years when his prayer was not answered. Pray that I will be fully equipped to do God’s work.”
