Christmas is a season of longing.
Kids long for presents under the tree to tear open.
Kids-at-heart long for that latest gift we’re going to get.
We long for family to get together for the first time this year.
We long for everyone to get along and everything to be perfect for the first time in forever.
Christmas is a season of longing, of looking, of waiting for consolation in a world that never meets our hopes and dreams, we long for something better, something to satisfy.
In Luke’s gospel account of Jesus Christ we will see the end of all our longing at Christmas. It’s not far away, just over the horizon, and it’s worth waiting for.
Join us on Christmas Day at 9:00am for our gathered worship service.
